The third Viking ship was found in Norway

Incredible as it seems, last year a place that many thought was empty ended up surprising archaeologists who conducted an exploration there. That’s because they found a Viking ship inside a tomb!

However, the ship has not yet been removed from the site. However, once there is official confirmation, this will be the third Viking ship they have found in one area Norwayin Karmoy.

In addition, many believe that this is one of the places where Viking civilizations existed at one time. As far as is known, archaeologists speculate that the ship was buried around the eighth century, when the Viking Age (793-1066) began.

Of the three ships, the first to be discovered in the area was the Norwegian archaeologist Haakon Stelig in 1906. However, his search for other remains did not produce many results.

However, there is a reason for that. In the view of current archaeologists, led by Håkon Reiersen, Shetelig did not go deep enough to find the remaining ruins exactly where the third ship was, but now they have finally been found.

And this adventure does not end here, as archaeologists plan to return to the site to obtain more information.

However, that’s not all, the series “Vikings” has a strong connection to reality, even if some aspects are romanticized or depicted for entertainment purposes.

Throughout the series, we can see many aspects of Viking culture such as fashion, religion, and technology. For example, it shows the role of women in Viking society, something that is often overlooked or ignored in other depictions of the culture.
