Foo Fighters announced on Tuesday (10) their first shows yet Drummer Taylor Hawkins passes away.
The musician was found lifeless in a hotel room in Colombia on March 25, 2022.
The group will perform at the Boston Calling Festivals in Boston, Sonic Temple, in Columbus (USA), Bonnaroo, in Manchester (UK). Shows are being submitted between May and June of this year.
On the last day of 2022, The Foo Fighters announced that they would continue their career in studios and on stages around the world without Hawkins.
“Without Taylor, we wouldn’t have become the band we are. Without Taylor, we know we’ll be a different band in the future,” the statement read.
Without revealing who their new drummer is, the band spoke about the importance of the fans to Taylor: “The fans mean as much to Taylor as he did to you. And we know that when we see each other again – and we will soon – he will be there in spirit all night.”
In announcing their first show since March 2022, the band received cheers from the followers. One netizen wrote: “Learn to live again.” “Glad to see you, we miss you,” said another fan.
Due to the cancellation of the show that was to take place in Brazil on March 27, 2022, many Brazilians asked in the comments that the group would return to the country. “We want you in Brazil, please come,” a fan asked.
