A survey conducted in the United Kingdom revealed that the image of Prince Harry and his wife Megan Markle deteriorated after the publication of a documentary series on the life of the couple in the royal family.
At least 44% of Britons who answered the survey organized by YouGov said that the youngest son of Charles III should lose his royal titles, while another 32% believe that Harry should remain in the royal family.
The documentary series, which was published in December 2022, is part of another episode in which the couple tell the secrets of the British monarchy to the public. Both Harry and Meghan claim that ordinary Americans have been subjected to mistreatment by the royal family, including accusations of racism.
Downgrading Harry and Meghan in the royal family line could pass through the UK Parliament. Conservative Bob Seeley has said he intends to vote on a resolution to remove the status of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
“This is a political problem,” Seeley said, according to the British newspaper The Mirror. “In addition to destroying his family and investing his misery for public consumption, he is also attacking some of the important institutions of this country.”
The YouGov poll found that only 7% of the public had a better impression of Harry and Meghan after the documentary, while 23% felt bad about watching the couple’s allegations.
“Prone to fits of apathy. Problem solver. Twitter buff. Wannabe music advocate.”
