The technical group of the transitional government in the field of science and technology proposes to reverse the extinction of the state-owned company Ceitec and to end the blockade of FNDCT, the National Fund for Scientific and Technological Development.
A temporary measure from August this year limited the use of the proceeds of this fund until 2026. According to former Minister Sergio Resende, on Thursday the return of this deputy will be negotiated with the National Congress to release the resources of the FNDCT.
Another proposal by the Science and Technology Group is to reverse the liquidation of Ceitec, a state-owned semiconductor and chip maker. Currently, the TCU, the Federal Court of Auditors, is analyzing whether the company’s extinction has complied with all required rules.
The transitional government asked the TCU to wait until next year so that the future government could de-extinct Setic. Gts’ coordinator in the transitional government, former minister Aloizio Mercadante, has advocated bringing back the state-owned company.
The Transitional Government’s Science and Technology team has also informed that it will ask Parliament for resources to adjust the value and increase the number of postgraduate scholarships offered by the Capes and CNPQ for 2023. The working group also asks Senate Shell to impeach the leaders of the National Nuclear Energy Commission so that the next government can name the directors of that institution. .
