WhatsApp will stop working on some Android and iOS phones; Checklist

About 38 Android phone models will be without updates and will not be able to run the WhatsApp messaging app as of 30. Some iOS devices will also be affected by the incompatibility.

iOS models

The app will stop working on some iPhones from October 24th. According to WeBetaInfo, which is responsible for predicting WhatsApp news, devices with an operating system lower than iOS 12 should not receive new features, such as the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C.

Updates

The change is a reflection of a series of updates that the app is promoting. One of them is the ability to hide when the user is online. Because of this, some devices will not be able to update or use the messaging app.

The news had repercussions on several national portals, and Olhar Digital portal provided a list of smartphones that WhatsApp will no longer work on.
