Donna Gallacher, 40, of Britain, has been living without her pet cat since 2012, when the animal went missing from her home in Weymouth, Dorset, England. She did not expect Chubby to be found 400km away after 10 years.
Chubby has been bred by its owner since he was a puppy and worked tirelessly to find the pet. Over the years, he has published ads in local newspapers, distributed flyers and is constantly updating social media posts.
“I updated, shared and have been doing it for years,” Donna told the British tabloid Mirror.
Donna is going to stop finding the cat when she is surprised by a call. A Manchester veterinarian said Chubby was discovered last month in Wigan, in the north of England.
The English say that a woman found the cat in a school after realizing that the cat was not feeling well. “He was very neglected. He was full of blaze, skin and bones so he could not defend himself,” says the owner.
Donna says it was a “very real” moment when she found out that Chubby was coming back for her, and that the cat was happy. “Because he felt safe, he spread, he felt at home. He loves life.”
Britt still claims to make up for lost years with the animal when he was away. “He will be a pet and will live his years in peace and comfort.”
