More than 3 million R$ will be allocated to research projects and high-level human resource training
The Amazonas government, through Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado do Amazonas (Fapeam), has released this Wednesday (15/6) the results of Mulheres das Águas – Public Notification Support Number for Post-Doctors (Prodoc) – Public Bulletin No. 003/2022 .
As part of Fapeam’s Women and Girls in Science movement, the Mulheres das guas program is an unprecedented initiative by the Government of Amazonas that will support applied research and innovation, or technology transfer, coordinated by researchers, with the aim of encouraging the role of females in the novel. Leading scientific projects that contribute to solving or alleviating certain problems in the municipalities of the interior. In this public notice, ten projects have been approved, and they are listed in the municipalities of Itacoatiara, Tefé, Presidente Figueiredo and Coari.
Another ground-breaking initiative of the state government, Prodoc, launched in January 2022, also included ten proposals. The program awards post-doctoral scholarships in the country and abroad to residents of the state of Amazonas, to develop research projects aimed at contributing to the expansion of science, technology and innovation in all areas of knowledge.
The investment in these programs exceeds R$3 million, which will be applied to 20 research projects and to enhance human resource training at the post-doctoral level.
