On Friday, 3, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made their first official appearance in the UK in two years, after quitting their jobs as members of the British Crown. They attended a Thanksgiving celebration in honor of the Queen at St Paul’s Cathedral in London.
The Sussexes will step down as senior princes in early 2020 and this is the first time the two have traveled to the UK together. Upon their arrival at the cathedral, the Sussexes were greeted with applause.

Next, they headed to their second-row seats, along with Harry’s cousins Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and their husbands and behind Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex. Their seats across the aisle were Prince Charles, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William and Kate Middleton, who were seated in the front row.
Meghan wore an off-white Dior coat and skirt and a matching long-brimmed Stephen Jones hat. Prince Harry in his morning coat and military medals.
Meanwhile, William and Kate sat in the front row and there was no eye contact between the pair. Nor was there any interaction between the Sussexes, Cambridge and Charles and Camilla when they left the service. Harry and Meghan were seen talking to Harry’s cousins who visited Tyndall and Peter Phillips on the steps of St Paul’s Cathedral before leaving church.
Meghan and Harry, who now live in Montecito, California, arrived in the UK on Wednesday with their two children Archie, 3, and Lily, who turns one, on Saturday.
On Thursday, the second, Meghan and Harry joined members of the royal family for Trooping the Color. Since they are no longer royalty, they were not invited to appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace or join the carriage ride during the parade. Instead, they watched the event alongside other royals from the brigade’s office, which overlooks Horseguards Parade.
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan were photographed earlier in the office of Major General, Horseguards Parade. The pair were seen chatting with the Duke of Kent, and Meghan was seen playing with Savannah Phillips, Mia and Lena Tindall.
