On Thursday (2), Billionaire and Tesla founder Elon Musk responded on his Twitter account to a leaked email asking employees to return to face-to-face activities at the company’s office.
The Whole Mars Catlog’s Twitter profile asked, “Any comments for those who think face-to-face work is an old-fashioned concept?” However, Musk replied, “They should pretend to be working elsewhere.”
In the email to executives at the electric car maker titled “Remote work is no longer acceptable,” last May 31 and signed by Elon’s name, he says he is open to exceptions and will analyze these cases separately. “I will review and directly approve these exceptions,” Musk said.
However, the general rule is that working from home can wind up at his company, and he noted that employees can no longer show up at the Tesla office most convenient for them, and must travel to “Tesla’s main office, not a remote branch in any state.”
