Unlike Hungary, Poland is not one of the countries that has discontinued the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine, and many cases of leukemia have been reported.
Moraweki noted the EMA report on Thursday as important and found doubts about AstraZeneca’s vaccine “due to some circumstances, but rumors and media issues.”
The Prime Minister also said: In Poland, the availability of this vaccine is much higher than currently considered by this national vaccination program. He encouraged the poles to use the vaccine now available, underlining that “it will help control the spread of the corona virus in the same way or almost all other vaccines.”
Just before the end of the EMA, on Thursday morning, the head of the Polish Prime Minister’s Office, Michael Dvorsik, said: Recently, many poles already registered for the vaccine have been withdrawn.
In Poland, people between the ages of 67 and 69 can be recommended to get vaccinated from Thursday, and the group will be given the Astrogenega vaccine. Depending on the number of new registrants for the vaccine, the vaccine will be given on Friday to those interested in other groups who are scheduled to be vaccinated first, Dvoசிக்k said.
Responding to a reporter’s question, Dvoசிக்k said:The government has not explored the possibility of purchasing stockpiles of the vaccine from other countries, as the Poles are currently concerned about the astrogenic vaccine. According to him, in the second quarter, Poland will receive 15 million doses of vaccines from various manufacturers, including a single dose of the vaccine, so it will be possible to accelerate the vaccination campaign without getting astrogenica.
In Poland, a total of 4,605,929 vaccines were administered by Thursday morning, including 614,000 doses of AstraZeneca. The Polish Ministry of Health does not register vaccine-related thrombosis.
According to data from Thursday, 27,278 new infections were detected in a single day, the highest since the beginning of the year. In particular, 78 people died in a single day due to covit-19, and 278 due to coexistence of covit-19 and other diseases.
In a country of approximately 38 million people, there are 332,028 active infections, currently 21,858 require hospital treatment, of whom 2,190 are on ventilators. As the epidemic spreads rapidly the restrictions valid only in some regions will be extended across Poland from Saturday, with hotels, cultural institutions and sports pools reopening, and shopping malls that only meet basic and store requirements will operate.
