Brasilia is hosting another National Science and Technology Week

The traditional National Science and Technology Week (SNCT) takes place in Brasilia, in the exhibition pavilion in Parque da Cidade, with the theme “The Intersection of Science, Technology and Innovations on Planet Earth”. The event contains a diverse program of lectures, exhibitions, and interactive activities focused on science.

SNCT is an initiative of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), in partnership with universities, schools, educational and research institutions, scientific entities, research support institutions and others.

Among the topics discussed in the main stage of the event are the future and technology of national satellites, mapping of social technologies in the Amazon region, data platforms for autism spectrum diseases, geographical mapping of river basins by satellite and the development of diagnostic tests for COVID-19 in Brazil.

169 public and private institutions from 312 Brazilian municipalities participated in the event. There will be 6,284 activities scheduled and will run through December 10th.

During the week the suite opens at 8:30 am and runs until 7:00 pm, on weekends the gates open at 10:00 am and close at 7:00 pm.
