The UK documentary Princes and the Press, which was released this week, recalls the chapters of the feud between Princes Harry and William, and the two matters’ relationship to the British press, as well as saving the events covered in the British press in their lives. The documentary also focuses on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to step down as senior members of the British Crown.
In this regard, one of the interviewees is Jenny Afia, Meghan Markle’s lawyer, who refuted the information presented in the documentary that the Duchess of Sussex would be a “difficult boss”. We remember Jenny Afia legally representing Meghan Markle in British courts after the Duchess was accused of bullying by her former royal aides.
“This narrative that no one can work with the Duchess of Sussex, or that it was too difficult or that it required a boss and that everyone had to leave, is not true,” Afia told host Amol Rajan. In the trailer for the second part of the documentary – scheduled to air on November 29. Afia said that “the general allegation is that the Duchess of Sussex is guilty of bullying” and stated that “this is not at all true”.
For those who don’t remember, in March of this year, one of her closest advisors accused Meghan Markle, during her time as a royal worker at Kensington Palace, of bullying him and his staff. The complaint, reported by The Times in October 2018 by the couple’s former communications minister, Jason Knauf, that Meghan fired personal assistants and undermined the trust of a third member of the team.
A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said in a statement to People at the time. “She is determined to continue her work in building empathy around the world and will continue to strive to lead by example for doing what is right and doing what is good.”

Understand the controversy
Jason Knauf, who was the former communications minister for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, has reported Meghan’s abusive behavior towards former palace staff. Incidents of bullying have reportedly been reported to Simon Case, Prince William’s personal secretary, and head of human resources at Clarence House.
In an email sent by Jason Knauf, he said, “The Duchess (Meghan Markle) always seems to have someone in her sights. He’s harassing Y and trying to undermine his security. We haven’t stopped receiving reports from people who have witnessed unacceptable attitudes toward Y.” herself, Meghan’s ex-employee is “deeply concerned” about the harassment of two employees who have left Kensington Palace, and the work pressures of another former Meghan employee, Samantha Cohen, who was his personal secretary.
Knauf also told The Times that he claimed via email that “the Duchess managed to scare personal assistants away from home last year” and “was trying to undermine the trust of a third employee”.
According to The Times, Prince Harry himself met with Knauf to ask him not to proceed with the matter. Realizing that his grievances had no effect, he resigned and was reappointed as Chief Executive of the Royal Institution of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Ex-boyfriend defends Megan
In an interview with US Weekly in April of this year, Meghan Markle’s young boyfriend, Joshua Silverstein, defended the Duchess over recent allegations that he committed bullying against Kensington Palace advisers while living in the UK. He told the magazine, “I can’t imagine Meghan intimidating the real employees. I see her doing everything she feels she should do to be happy and coexist within a system that has not been very accepting of who she is and where she comes from.”
Joshua is still friends with Meghan and added, “When you see women of color, especially black women, standing up for themselves and talking openly about how they feel, this is treated as disrespect or oppression. White people often tend to rate this negatively because they don’t want to It’s happening. It’s like people of color are expected to know where they are and whenever they don’t agree, whites say it’s a problem.”
“She (Meghan) probably has to make difficult and uncomfortable decisions just to be able to smile the next day. That’s what life is all about: making tough decisions so that she can live to thrive as the person she wants to be. As long as she Happy and he (Harry) is happy, that’s all that matters.”
