On Thursday (28) the state government released the result of the 34th edition of the Parana Science and Technology Prize. The 10 winners in the fields of engineering and biological sciences received prizes worth R$239,000 at a ceremony held at Palacio Iguaçu in Curitiba.
Deputy Governor Darcy Bayana highlighted the role of researchers in meeting social demands. “Parana State has 20,000 highly qualified PhD professors who conduct basic research for our community. There are hours, months, and years of dedication to these professionals. We thank everyone for the work that strengthens our state,” He said.
Supervisor Aldo Nelson Bona highlighted the importance of the award, which aims to recognize the work developed by researchers, students, inventors and journalists in the search for innovative solutions to social demands.
