The United States is launching the second edition of the 100K Innovation Fund program to support educational institutions in Brazil

Together with its partners in the United States and SENAI, the program seeks to integrate Brazilian higher education with educational institutions, innovation institutions, and North American institutions.

The US Embassy and Consulate General in Brazil, in partnership with the US and SENAI’s partners, held the inaugural event of the second exclusive competition for Brazil on October 14 under the 100.00 initiative. America’s innovation is strong in finance (100k Innovation Fund). This initiative seeks to promote cooperation between Brazilian and American higher education institutions.

By 2021, the competition will provide six (6) grants to promote and support new partnerships in higher education in the United States and Brazil, with special emphasis on SENAI organizations throughout Brazil. Teams of higher education institutions in the United States and Brazil are invited to develop innovative exchange and labor development programs in a variety of subjects, creating new opportunities for students in both countries and at home.

The thematic areas of this new competition for 100K innovation funding in the US-Brazil include: climate and environmental solutions; Health sciences and public health; Artificial intelligence; Internet of Things; Cloud computing; Technology in education (distance / virtual education); Agriculture and food science; Water, sanitation and hygiene (wash); Biotechnology; Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), among others.

Teams of higher education institutions in the United States and Brazil may submit nominations for the 100K Award by February 15, 2022.
