CONMEBOL suspends Boca coaches and players for confusing it with Atlético MG

This Friday (08), CONMEBOL announced penalties for Boca Juniors, referring to the last 16 of the Libertadores, as they were eliminated by Atlético MG. Occurred due to conflicts in Mineirao, on July 20, the date of the second confrontation between the two teams.

The top football authority in South America has punished six players from the Argentine national team, with kicks amounting to six matches in suspension. In addition, penalties were imposed on club officers. Two of them were even banned from stadiums for two years.

In total, the total fines imposed on Boca Juniors amounted to R$1.3 million. Athletes and board members came into conflict with security guards in Mineirao that night, with stadium facilities looting and physical assaults on professionals.
