Some people have already received the notebook.
Steam Deck is a new portable console developed by Valve that is scheduled to launch in December 2021.
Although there is still a few months for the Steam Deck to reach consumers, some people in the video game world have already received their first Steam Deck, revealing their first impressions of this hybrid console/PC in terms of Steam features and performance. the new.
One of the lucky ones to get Steam Deck was Mike Rose from publisher No More Robots, after using Twitter to post a video with the console and also make some comments about it:
“Valve was submitted on Steam Deck (thanks dear!) and I’ve reviewed our games and verified that they work without any further input on our part. Descenders work perfectly! In fact, they work *incredibly* well. Com Ultra gfx enabled , I get about 50-60 fps.”
Valve was submitted via Steam Deck (Thank you folks!!) so I’ve been browsing through our games and checking if they work without any additional developer on our side
Scion: Works flawlessly!

Mike Rose also reveals that “Yes, Grace,” another No More Robots game, “works beautifully” and that there needs to be command support in order to play games that require a mouse and keyboard. Either way, it’s still operable via the touchscreen.
Positech Games founder Cliff Harris also received the console and praised the frame rate as perfect. “It looks very good,” Harris says. You can see his tweet below.
First impressions are that this is really cool. Democracy 4 seems to do well out of the box, although steamworms work 1,000 times better than the thumb sticks in my game. The sound is really good. Perfect framerate. #Democracy 4 # design pic.twitter.com/AOenhHOuiQ

It will be interesting to see how Valve’s Steam Deck performs and if it can achieve the similar success of the Nintendo Switch. What do you think?
“Incurable thinker. Food aficionado. Subtly charming alcohol scholar. Pop culture advocate.”
