COVID-19: Kamakawa begins vaccinating teenagers

On the morning of Wednesday, September 15th, Kamakawa City began a new phase of immunization against COVID-19. With permission from the State Department of Health (SES/RS), the municipality begins vaccinating 17-year-olds without comorbidities.

With the new audience vaccinated, the Klick Kamakwa Report has moved to the urban social center, where the Vegas Immunization Center is located.

At the site, it is possible to observe a wide adhesion of the audience in question, which forms a queue from 8 in the morning, before the start of vaccination.

The application is made at the Viégas Immunization Center, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., as well as in basic health units.

Vaccination for this group was approved after a meeting and signing of a decision by the Inter-Management Committee (CIB). Now, municipalities have been released to apply the vaccine only to a group of 17-year-olds.

The service will be in the basic health units from 9 am to 12 pm and from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm for the application of the first dose and the second dose in addition to the application of the booster dose, which starts on Wednesday (15).

The third dose will only be given to people over 70 years of age, as long as 6 months have passed since the second or single dose.

Promotion begins with residents of LLPs (Long Stay Institutions for Seniors). After that, it will be the role of the bedridden old man.

Other elderly people will have to wait for their age group to receive the third dose. Once the Ministry of Health considers elderly people under the age of 70, it will be issued by the municipality’s official bodies and the Clic Camaquã portal.
