Tarantino used to write the first scripts when he was young, still in high school. He said he did not receive much support even from teachers, except for his mother: “They considered doing this in place of my homework an act of bold rebellion for me.”, announced the director of the film.
Upon learning what happened, Tarantino’s mother said something unmotivated to her son: ‘She said, ‘And by the way, that little writing career you’ve been trying to do is just over. When she said it to me in such a sarcastic way, I just thought, “When I become a successful screenwriter, you won’t see a penny of my success.”.
Tarantino spending his entire career brutalizing women in movies to get back to his mom saying something meant 40 years ago makes perfect sense. I hate to see Freud happy https://t.co/eCoD21K4Br

He even revealed a conversation he had with his mother about the potential gains from a successful film career: “There will be no new home for you, no Cadillac Elvis for my mother. You will not get anything. I would not have said that”.
Tarantino won Academy Awards in 1995 and 2013, with Pulp Fiction and Django Unchained respectively, both for Best Original Screenplay. He even won two Golden Globes with these two films, and two more with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
