123 Milhas customers with confirmed reservations say they are unable to board or access accommodations
123 Milhas customers with already confirmed reservations are unable to board or access accommodations.
After missing a flight to the northeast, Ramon Almeida and three other people got their 123-mile voucher. But when it came time to go to the new destination, the hotel in Florianópolis warned: “They sent me a message saying that the reservation in their system simply disappeared, and that they canceled the reservation,” says engineer Ramón Almeida.
Customers who also purchased airline tickets through 123 Milhas report that they are unable to board the flight and only discover that their tickets have been held on hold when they arrive at the airport.
Marketing analyst Tatila Natalia was flying from Belo Horizonte to Chile on Saturday morning. I tried to log in online and failed. I called the airline.
“The girl said everything was fine with my ticket and all I had to do was get there and check in. Today I arrived at the airport about two hours before departure and the ticket was cancelled.”
Consumer law specialists claim that while 123 Melas is in the process of judicial recovery, the companies that issued airline tickets and accommodation could also be held liable.
“This company, which has been duly identified and which has submitted the documents proving that it will be responsible for carrying out the service, has an objective and joint obligation towards the consumer customer”, explains Luciana Athenici, specialist in consumer law.
123 Milhas stated that last week, the cancellation was done unilaterally by other service providers. He also declared that the companies were not honoring existing contracts and that he had informed the operators extrajudicially.
