Former BBB Matteus Amaral declared himself black to enroll in an agricultural engineering course, according to the document

Mateus Amaral, the runner-up of “Big Brother Brasil 24”, had declared himself black to enter the agricultural engineering course at the Farroupilha Federal Institute (IFFar), in 2014. According to documents available online, the former BBB had declared himself black to study at the Alegrete campus , using affirmative action (quotas) targeting low-income students from public schools. When he was in the fifth semester, he stopped enrolling to care for his grandmother.
